Paisley Blair (b. 2000, Tulsa OK) is an Austin TX based artist working across mediums from drawing and painting to performance. Raised in Texas' gulf coast, in 2022 Paisley graduated with a B.A. in Studio Art from Southwestern University, where they explored a number of subjects that fueled their artmaking practice; including art history, philosophy, religion, and natural sciences. Paisley's artwork explores themes of identity formation and expression in the context of the post 9/11 internet age, with a particular interest in media-saturated culture and its impressions on the mind. Their latest creative endeavor, the drag persona Tranz Kafka, draws from their experience as a trained dancer and their love for makeup & fashion artistry.
